Meerkats mature much earlier than people and can have babies when they are very young. A female meerkat is only pregnant for 11 weeks! And she'll often have 3 pups in a litter.
Once the pups are 2 to 3 weeks old, they leave their home. Could you imagine leaving your home at only 3 weeks old?
